My Background

Hi, Kelsi here! The Aussie that is always with me, is Hilo.

Hiking with Hayley and Hilo in Kentucky

Welcome to my dog training journey! Over a decade ago, my spunky, loud mouthed Australian Shepherd entered my life, sparking a passion for learning about this amazing breed. From reading books to gaining hands-on experience in daycares, kennels, and veterinary offices, I’ve dedicated myself to understanding dogs better.

After completing an intensive dog training course in Idaho, multiple continuing education courses and working as a dog trainer for the last 4 years, I am excited to bring my skills back to Ohio!

My training style is based not only building a relationship with your dog, but training with a balanced approach. From puppy training to adult on and off leash obedience and minor reactivity cases, I am here to help reach your training goals!

Meet Hilo, my spirited 10.5-year-old Aussie from Polk, Ohio! This vibrant pup has seamlessly woven himself into my life. Joining me on paddle boarding adventures, beach outings, camping, hiking, going to restaurants and even running 5ks (he has got a competitive streak), this dog has been on his best behavior every step of the way.

It is incredible to see him switch from splashing in the water to sleeping peacefully under a restaurant table at lunch time. After years of training and adventures, I have learned that the more we engage with our dogs, the stronger our bond becomes.  Hilo thrives in nose work and over the past year we have recently started training him on Human Tracking.

We are here to inspire you to create those memorable experiences with your dog as well!

...but what have I actually done?
